Applications are invited for the SAF position with consolidated pay at IASST,Guwahati under the project “Development of an integrated multi-omics analysis platform and its application to elucidate the differential process of silk coloration in Muga silkworm, Antherona Assamensis Heifer’.

Details of Post:

1. Post: Senior Research Fellow(SRF)
2. Number of post: 1 (one)

Salary:

1. Rs. 35,000 + 16% HRA per month for (candidates with CSIR-UGC/ICAR NET including lectureship OR GATE. National Level examination DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. qualified) for Masters in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Zoology/Microbiology/Entomology with 2 years of research experience.

2. Rs. 25,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates without above stated National examination and prior research experience.

Educational qualification and Experience:

1 st class M.Sc. Degree in Biological Sciences or Post-graduate degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/Zoology/Microbiology/Entomology/ and should have two years of research experience in handling NGS data analysis or relevant bioinformatics experience. Familiarity with Java/C/C++/Perl/Python/Shell scripting and with RDBMS or database management is desirable.

Age:

Age limit is 28 years. It is relaxable for SC/ST/ Women candidate as per Govt. rule
