Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Assam Recruitment 2020: Teacher/Librarian/Counsellor

Applications are invited in prescribed format for the posts or teacher/ librarian/counselor in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas in North-East India.

The schools are English Medium and follow CBSE curriculum. Vacancies are there for the subjects taught in Primary/ Secondary/ Senior Secondary level in CBSE affiliated schools.

Candidates should be Graduate/ Post Graduate in the relevant subject. For candidates applying for Senior Secondary and Secondary level teachers preference will be given to candidates having B.Ed. degree. For candidates applying for primary level teachers B.Ed./ D.El.Ed. Degree is compulsory.

Teachers are required for the following subjects:
Physics, chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (Botany/ Zoology), Computer Science, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Geography, Political Science, History, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Fine Arts/ Painting, Home Science, Physical Education, Music(vocal), Library- Science (for the post of Asst. Librarian), Psychology/ Child Development/Career Guidance & Counselling (for the post of School Counsellor/wellness Teacher), Band Trainer.

Essential Qualification(s)

• Senior Secondary Teacher: Post Graduate in relevant subject. Preference will be given to candidates having B.Ed. degree.
• Secondary Teacher:  Post Graduate/ Graduate with Major in relevant subject. Preference will be given to candidates having B.Ed. degree.
• Primary Teacher: Graduate in relevant subject with B.Ed./ DEI.Ed. (2 years Diploma in Elementary Education).
• Physical Education Teacher: Master / Bachelor of Physical Education or equivalent.
• Painting / Fine Arts Teacher: Bachelor / Master of Painting or Fine Arts or equivalent.
• Music Teacher: Bachelor/ Master of Music or equivalent.
• Librarian: Bachelor of Library Science or equivalent.
• School Counsellor/ Wellness Teacher: Graduate / Post Graduate in Psychology or Post Graduate in Child Development or Post Graduate with Diploma in Career Guidance & Counselling.
• Special Educator: Graduate with B.Ed. (Special Education) or any equivalent qualification approved by RcI.
• School Band Trainer: Higher Secondary with appropriate training in band and can himself/herself play at least two instruments.

Salary:
The initial monthly Salary for different levels are mentioned below

• Senior Secondary Teacher: Rs.20,000.00 to 24,000.00 PM
• Secondary Teacher/Counsellor/Special Educator/Librarian: Rs.14,000.00 to 17,000.00
• Primary Teacher/ Music Teacher/Painting or Fine Arts: Rs.10,000.0o to 13,000.00
• All others: 8,000.00 to 10,000.00

Application Fees: A crossed bank draft of 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) towards application fee in favour of “Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag” payable at Guwahati. The name, address, subject and preferred place of interview of the candidate should be written in pencil at the back of the bank draft.
