Applications are invited from interested and eligible male Indian candidates for filling up the following 317 no.s of Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ Combatised posts in Water Wing of the Border Security Force:

1. Name of Post: Sl (Master)

No of posts: 05

Pay: Level-6 (Rs. 35400- 112400/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University and
• ii) Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.

Age: Between 22-28 Years

2. Name of Post: Sl (Engine Driver)

No of posts: 09

Pay: Level-6 (Rs. 35400- 112400/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University and
• ii) Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.

Age: Between 22-28 Years

3. Name of Post: Sl (Workshop)

No of posts: 03

Pay: Level-6 (Rs. 35400- 112400/-)

Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Three years Diploma in Mechanical or Marine or Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or Institution

Age: Between 20-25 Years

4. Name of Post: HC (Master)

No of posts: 56

Pay: Level-4 (Rs. 25500- 81100/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and
• ii) Serang Certificate.

Age: Between 20-25 Years

5. Name of Post: HC (Engine Driver)

No of posts: 68

Pay: Level-4 (Rs. 25500- 81100/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and
• ii) Possessing 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate.

Age: Between 20-25 Years

6. Name of Post:

• Mechanic: 07
• Electrician: 02
• AC Technician: 02
• Electronics: 01
• Machinist: 01
• Carpenter: 01
• Plumber: 02

Pay: Level-4 (Rs. 25500- 81100/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and
• ii) Industrial Training Instituted Diploma in respective trade (i.e. Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) Machinist/Carpentry/ Electrician/ Air conditioner Technician/Electronics and Plumbing) from a recognized Institution.

Age: Between 20-25 Years

7. Name of Post: CT(Crew)

No of posts: 160

Pay: Level-3 (Rs.21700- 69100/-)

Educational Qualification:

• i) Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and
• ii) one year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP and
• iii) Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance and will submit an undertaking certificate as per Annexure- ‘D-1’ alongwith Application Form.

Age: Between 20-25 Years

Note: 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

Last Date of Application: 30 days from the date of publication of this notice in Employment News Paper. However, it will be 45 days for candidates of far flung areas as specified in para- 1 (vi) of detailed advertisement uploaded in BSF website.

Examination Fee : Each application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft/ Postal Order of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) for the post of SI (Master), SI (Workshop) & Sl (Engine Driver) and Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred) for the post of HC (Master), HC (Workshop), HC (Engine Driver) & CT (Crew) as examination fee. However, fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates & Ex-Servicemen. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
