The Centre of Plasma
Physics- Institute for Plasma Research is a premier scientific institute under
the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India devoted to research and
development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic
Confinement Fusion and Industrial and Societal applications of plasmas. IPR is
located in Bhat Village, Gandhinagar and also has extensions of its
Laboratories at GIDC Sector -25, Gandhinagar and has a Center at Sonapur,
Guwahati.
Online applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for the temporary posts of 04 Nos. Project Scientific Officer and 05 Nos. Project Scientific Assistant, to be posted at CPP-IPR, Sonapur, Assam. The essential and desirable qualifications against the posts with their post codes are tabulated below:

Essential: 03 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Technology.
Desirable: Preferably with one or two years of post Diploma practical
experience in performing/ assisting experimental research works in research
laboratories, industrial units/private or public organizations.
2. Project
Scientific Office (PSO)

of Post: 01 (One)
Essential: Master's Degree in Science (Physics) with minimum 60% marks from a
recognized University equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in laboratory experimentation,
simulation/modelling technique using Matlab/COMSOL/Python/Scilab/Octave/Fortran.
3. Project
Scientific Office (PSO)

of Post: 01 (One)
Essential: Master's Degree in Science (Electronics/Instrumentation) or
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology (Electronics/Instrumentation)
with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in designing/integration/operation and
maintenance of Data Acquisition & Control System, Fibre Optic Link, Power
Electronics, PLC/PXI system and Lab VIEW software, Signal conditioning and
circuit design.

Essential: B.Sc. (Major in Physics).
Desirable: Experience in handling of test & measuring instruments.
Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.

Desirable: Experience in characterizations of biomass and allied
materials by using analytical and sophisticated instrumental techniques.

Desirable: Experience in High Voltage electrical installations or in

Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology (Electrical/Electrical
and Electronics/ Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized
university equivalent.
Desirable: High Voltage Engineering or power engineering. Hands on
experience on measuring instruments. Understanding in High Voltage Discharging
behavior in solids and gases. Good knowledge of computational software (MATLAB
or COMSOL) and electric field simulations and analyses.
Note: All the qualifications
must be from recognized Indian Universities/Boards/Institutions only.
Applicants having qualifications from any other countries shall upload
equivalency certificate from UGC/AIU.
Age
Limit: 40 Years for Project
Scientific Officer. 35 Years for Project Scientific Assistant. Age relaxation
is admissible to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates as per Government of
India orders.
