Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the post of Forest Rangers in the Assam Forest Service under Environment & Forests Department.

Scale of Pay: PB 3 Rs. 22,000/- to 97,000/- and GP: Rs 10,300/-

Eligibility Criteria of Forest Department Recruitment

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below

SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years
OBC/ MOBC: 3 years

Educational Qualification: Applicant must possess Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least one of the following subjects:-

• ii. Botany
• iii. Chemistry
• iv. Computer Applications/ Computer Science
• v. Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
• vi. Environmental Science

• xi. Physics
• xii. Statistics
• xiii. Veterinary Science
• xiv. Zoology

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay an application fee as mentioned below:

• General/EWS: Rs 285.40
• SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs 185.40
• BPL: Rs 35.40
