Minimum Essential Qualification

For Assamese, Economics, English, Political Science, Sociology, Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics

Professor

• Ph.D. in concerned/allied discipline with 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
• Minimum 10 years teaching/research experience with evidence of Ph.D. guidance.
• Research score of 120 as per UGC Appendix II.

OR

• Outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years professional experience with significant contributions.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks.
• 8 years teaching/research experience.
• Minimum 7 publications with research score of 75 as per UGC norms.

Assistant Professor

• Master’s Degree with 55% marks in relevant subject.
• NET/SLET/SET qualified or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations (2009/2016).
• Candidates with foreign Ph.D. from top 500 ranked universities are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

For Computer Science & Engineering

Professor

• Ph.D. in relevant field.
• First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• 10 years experience in teaching/research/industry, including 3 years as Associate Professor.
• Minimum 6 research publications and 2 Ph.D. scholars guided.
