Vacancy Details

1. Forester-I

No. of Posts: 47
Scale of Pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 + Grade Pay ₹6,200
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution or equivalent.

2. Forest Guard

No. of Posts: 110
Scale of Pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 + Grade Pay ₹5,600
Educational Qualification: Minimum HS / 10+2 passed or equivalent from a recognised board.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Residency

Candidates must be permanent residents of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area.
Candidates belonging to the newly added 60 villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under Udalguri District, BTC are also eligible.

Employment Exchange Registration

Applicants must have registered their names in any Employment Exchange of Assam.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2026)

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

OBC/MOBC: 3 years
SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years

Medical Standards

Candidates must not have squint eyes and should possess high colour vision.
Distant vision should be at least 6/6 in one eye and not poorer than 6/9 in the other eye without correction.
Near vision should be normal for both posts.
