Guwahati Biotech Park was established by the Government of Assam to promote biotechnology and allied industries in the North-Eastern Region. It manages the Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) equipped with advanced laboratory and analytical facilities supporting research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Vacancy Details
Junior Engineer – 1 Post
The Junior Engineer will ensure efficient execution, operation and maintenance of electrical and allied infrastructure facilities of GBP including the Technology Incubation Centre.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or allied discipline
- Minimum 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution
Work Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in execution and maintenance of electrical and allied works in:
- Government Departments
- PSUs
- Autonomous Bodies
- Reputed organizations
Desirable:
- Experience in HVAC systems
- LAN networking and networking infrastructure maintenance
- Operation & maintenance of audio-visual systems
- Preparation of estimates and tender documents
- Coordination with Government Departments
Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years as on date of advertisement
- Age relaxation may be considered for experienced candidates as per rules
Remuneration
- ₹60,000/- per month (Consolidated)
- Statutory taxes applicable as per law
- No additional allowances
- Leave as per GBP policy
Duration of Engagement
- Initial period of 11 months
- Extension based on performance and institutional requirement
- 30 days’ notice required for termination by either party
- No claim for regular appointment
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Works
- Internal and external electrification
- Maintenance of LT panels, DG sets, UPS systems, transformers
HVAC & Air Conditioning
- Operation and maintenance of centralized and split AC systems
LAN & Audio Systems
- LAN connectivity maintenance
- Upkeep of auditorium audio-visual systems
Repair & Maintenance
- Electrical, civil, water supply and sanitation systems
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
Estimates & Tendering
- Preparation of cost estimates and BOQs
- Tender documentation and bid evaluation
- Contractor monitoring and certification
Documentation
- Maintenance records and periodic reporting
