About Recruitment

National Institute of Design (NID) Assam invites applications from experienced administrators for the post of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

The position is on deputation basis (including short-term contract) and initially valid up to 28 May 2028, extendable up to 28 May 2030 based on performance and institutional needs.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
• Basic computer knowledge required

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in:
  • Government / Educational / Research institutions
• Knowledge of:
  • Administration
  • Recruitment
  • Establishment
  • Estate Management
  • Stores & Purchase
  • Security & Housekeeping
• Experience in design/fashion technology institutions preferred

Additional Eligibility (For Deputation)

• Officers from:
  • Central / State Government / UT / Universities / PSU / Autonomous bodies
• Must be:
  • Holding equivalent post OR
  • 3 years service in Pay Level 11 or above

Age Limit

• Maximum 56 years (as on last date)
