Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for engagement as Field Investigators on a purely temporary basis for an extensive field survey across Assam.
The walk-in interview will be held on 2 March 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development (OKDISCD).

Emoluments
- Salary: As per institute rules (paid on pro-rata basis)
- TA will be provided based on the number of days spent in the field as per institute guidelines.
- No TA/DA for attending the interview.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:

- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Social Work, or related subjects with minimum 55% marks.
- Prior experience in field investigation (Preferred).
General Terms & Conditions
- Selected candidates must undertake extensive travel to all districts of Assam.
- Candidates must demonstrate discipline and ability to meet strict timelines.
- Failure to perform duties satisfactorily may lead to termination during the contract period.
- A Field Investigator may resign by giving one month’s prior notice.
- Candidates must possess an Android mobile phone with good internet connectivity.
- Field Investigators will not be entitled to regular leave, but leave may be granted as per institute rules.
- Candidates must comply with administrative and disciplinary regulations of OKDISCD.
- The Institute reserves the right not to fill the vacancies if suitable candidates are not found.
- Decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

- Self-attested copies of certificates & mark sheets
- Experience certificate (if any)
