The eligibility criteria will be determined as on 30 June 2026.
Educational Qualification for Generalists
Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
The qualification may be in disciplines including:

Candidates must have secured:
- 60% marks in the degree examination for other candidates.
- 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination and Descriptive Test will not be considered for the final merit list.

The Main Examination for Hindi Officers will carry 200 marks in the Objective Test and 50 marks in the Descriptive Test.

- Hindi to English Translation – 10 marks
The final merit list will consider Main Examination and Interview marks in the ratio of 75:25.
UIIC AO Negative Marking
There will be negative marking in the Objective Tests of the Preliminary and Main Examinations.
For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
There will be no penalty for unanswered questions.
