UIIC AO Notification 2026 – 225 Posts, Apply Online

United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) has released a notification for the appointment of Administrative Officer (Scale I) in Generalists and Hindi Officer disciplines. Eligible Indian citizens can apply online for these posts through the official UIIC website.

A total of 225 vacancies have been announced, including 200 Administrative Officer – Generalists and 25 Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers posts.

UIIC AO Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria will be determined as on 30 June 2026.

Educational Qualification for Generalists

Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

The qualification may be in disciplines including:

  • Engineering
  • Arts
  • Science
  • Commerce
  • Agriculture
  • Data Science
  • Other recognized disciplines

Candidates must have secured:

  • 60% marks in the degree examination for other candidates.
  • 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Candidates must have completed the required qualification on or before 30 June 2026.

Educational Qualification for Hindi Officers

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University with Hindi and English in the prescribed combination.

Eligible qualifications include a Master’s Degree:

  • In Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at degree level.
  • In English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at degree level.
  • In another subject with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level.
  • In another subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level.
  • In another subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or with one as the medium and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level.

Candidates must have secured 60% marks, while the minimum is 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Other Educational Conditions

  • The qualification must be obtained from a recognized University or Institute.
  • The prescribed educational pattern should be 10+2+3 or equivalent.
  • Candidates whose final examination results were declared after 30 June 2026 are not eligible.
  • Candidates having CGPA/OGPA/SGPA must produce the prescribed percentage conversion certificate.
  • Working knowledge of computers is mandatory.

UIIC AO Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as on 30 June 2026.

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 30 years

Candidates must have been born between 30 June 1996 and 30 June 2005, both dates inclusive.

UIIC AO Main Exam Pattern – Generalists

The Main Examination for Generalists will consist of an Objective Test of 250 marks and a Descriptive Test of 30 marks.

Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Test will carry 30 marks and will have a duration of 30 minutes.

It will consist of:

  • Letter Writing – 10 marks
  • Essay – 20 marks

For Generalists, the final merit list will be prepared using the marks of the Main Examination Objective Test and Interview in the ratio of 75:25.

Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination and Descriptive Test will not be considered for the final merit list.

UIIC AO Main Exam Pattern – Hindi Officers

The Main Examination for Hindi Officers will carry 200 marks in the Objective Test and 50 marks in the Descriptive Test.

The Professional Knowledge section will cover Hindi and English grammar, vocabulary, Official Language implementation, rules and translation-related knowledge.

Hindi Officer Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks and will have a duration of 60 minutes.

It will include:

  • English Essay – 10 marks
  • Hindi Essay – 10 marks
  • Hindi Letter Writing – 10 marks
  • English to Hindi Translation – 10 marks
  • Hindi to English Translation – 10 marks

The final merit list will consider Main Examination and Interview marks in the ratio of 75:25.

UIIC AO Negative Marking

There will be negative marking in the Objective Tests of the Preliminary and Main Examinations.

For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

There will be no penalty for unanswered questions.
