Age Limit
- Maximum Age: Not exceeding 35 years

Age Relaxation
- Up to 5 years for ESIC employees and Government servants
- Further age relaxation applicable for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India rules
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:
- MBBS Degree from a recognized institution included in the First Schedule / Second Schedule / Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Candidates with qualifications in Part-II of the Third Schedule must also meet the conditions specified under Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Completion of Compulsory Rotating Internship is mandatory.
- Candidates who have not completed the internship may apply, but must complete it before appointment if selected.
CMSE Qualification Requirement
- Candidates must be CMSE–2024 qualified.
- The candidate’s name should appear on the Pratibha Setu Portal of UPSC as on the closing date i.e. 17 February 2026.
