About the Recruitment
Cotton University, Guwahati has invited applications from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the post of Project Assistant in the Department of Physics. The position is under an ANRF-ARG project entitled “Synthesis of Nano-engineered 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenide by Fused Hollow Cathode Plasma: Applications in Flexible Pyro-phototronic Nanogenerator and X-ray Detector Devices”.
The project will be carried out under the supervision of Dr. Jitumani Kalita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Cotton University.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics as a compulsory subject from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates having an M.Sc. degree in Physics.
Candidates having expertise in material synthesis or willingness to work on material synthesis and characterization, as well as devise fabrication, may be preferred.
Salary
The selected candidate will receive remuneration of ₹27,000/- per month + 10% HRA as applicable.
Duration of the Post
The position is purely temporary and will be initially for a period of three years or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment under Cotton University.
