About KBVSASU PG Admission 2026
Online applications are invited from eligible intending candidates for admission into various Post Graduate programmes offered by Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University for the academic session 2026-27. Admission to all courses will be based on performance in the KBVPGET-2026 Entrance Examination.

Educational Qualification
For School of Veda Vedanga, Darshana and Sahitya & Sanskriti
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Graduate with Major/Honours in Sanskrit securing at least 40% marks from a recognized university; OR
- Graduate with Sanskrit as a subject in Pass Course securing at least 40% marks; OR
- Qualified Shastri Examination (equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) from a recognized university; OR
- Graduate in any discipline with basic knowledge of Sanskrit securing at least 40% marks.
For School of Ancient Studies
MA in Yoga Vigyan
- Graduate in any discipline with at least 40% marks from a recognized university.
- Relaxation of 5% marks for OBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates.
LLM in Ancient Indian Jurisprudence
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Relaxation of 5% marks for OBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates.
For School of Humanities and Social Science
- Graduate with Major/Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 40% marks from a recognized university.
Appearing Candidates
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the UG Final Semester Examination are also eligible to apply. Their admission will be subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria and submission of final results at the time of admission.
Reservation Policy
- Reservation shall be applicable as per Government of Assam rules.
- Valid caste certificates issued by competent authority are mandatory.
- EWS reservation benefits will be available upon submission of Income and Asset Certificate.
- 3% seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates as per university rules.
- PwD candidates must submit a disability certificate issued by the District Chief Medical Officer/Medical Board.
- Disability benefits are applicable only for candidates having at least 40% physical impairment.
KBVPGET 2026 Syllabus
The entrance examination syllabus shall be based on the Undergraduate (UG) level syllabus of the concerned discipline.
