Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has officially released an employment notification for the recruitment of 35 Member posts in the Assam State and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions.

This recruitment offers a prestigious opportunity for experienced professionals from law, administration, finance, public affairs, medicine, engineering, and management sectors to serve in statutory consumer dispute redressal bodies across Assam.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 18 December 2025 to 16 January 2026.

APSC Vacancy Details 2026

1. Member – Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non-Judicial)

• No. of Posts: 1
• Pay Scale:
  Pay Band-4 ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000
  Grade Pay: ₹17,500

2. Member – District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission

• No. of Posts: 34
• Pay Scale:
  Pay Band-4 ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000
  Grade Pay: ₹15,700

Eligibility Criteria for APSC Recruitment 2026

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

• State Commission Member: Minimum 40 years
• District Commission Member: Minimum 35 years

Age will be calculated based on Class X / XII Admit Card or Certificate issued by a recognized board.

Educational Qualification

• Graduation completed in regular mode
• Degree must be from a UGC-recognized institution
• Distance / Correspondence degrees are not eligible

Experience Requirement

Candidates must be persons of ability, integrity, and standing with minimum 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following fields:

• Consumer Affairs
• Law
• Public Administration
• Economics / Commerce
• Industry / Finance
• Management
• Engineering / Technology
• Public Health / Medicine
