The Central Selection Board, BTC invited online applications from 23 February to 15 March 2026 for 157 Forester-I and Forest Guard posts under the Forest Department, BTC. The admit cum call letter is now available for download.

Educational Qualification
- Forester-I: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution or equivalent.
- Forest Guard: Minimum HS / 10+2 passed or equivalent.
Other criteria: Candidates must be residents of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area (including the newly added 60 villages as specified) and must be registered in an employment exchange of Assam.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years (as on 1 January 2026)
- Age Relaxation: OBC/MOBC 3 years, SC/ST(P)/ST(H) 5 years

Selection Process
- Physical Test: 26 km walking for male and 16 km walking for female candidates, to be completed within 4 hours, followed by a medical examination.
- Written Examination: 100 marks, multiple choice questions, 3 hours duration. There is no negative marking.
- Viva-Voce: 20 marks, for candidates who qualify in the written examination.
