The Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Guwahati, has issued a walk-in interview notice for the engagement of a Project Technical Support-I on a purely contractual basis.

The selected candidate will work under the ICMR-funded project titled “Surveillance for Drug Resistance, Scrub Typhus and Coinfections (Q Fever) and Unravel Zoonotic Disease Dynamics at the Human-Animal Interface in Assam, North East India”.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive a remuneration of Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA.

Note: No other allowances are permissible.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The candidate should not be more than 35 years of age.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must have any of the following qualifications:

Option 1:

• Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related disciplines, along with one year of relevant experience.

OR

Option 2:

• Minimum six months diploma in Computer Application.

Desirable Qualification

Candidates having the following qualifications and experience will be preferred:

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience in handling biological samples.
• Experience in laboratory work.
• Experience in field visits and related activities.
