Other Criteria of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment

Age Limit:

Navik (GD/ DB): Candidate should be born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008.

Yantrik: Candidate should be born between 01 Mar 2004 to 01 Mar 2008.

Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non creamy) candidates is applicable only if, posts are reserved for them.

Educational Qualification:

(a) Navik (General Duty): Candidates must have Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

(b) Navik (Domestic Branch): Candidates must have Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

(C) Yantrik: Class 10th passed AND Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
