Salary:

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 35400-112400)
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: Level 4 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 25500-81100)

Other Eligibility Criteria of SSC Stenographer Recruitment

Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Skill Requirement:

Candidates must have skills in stenography.
Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Dictation: 10 minutes at the speed of 100 words per minute. Transcription: 40 minutes (English), 55 minutes (Hindi).
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: Dictation: 10 minutes at the speed of 80 words per minute. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi).

Age Limit:

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on August 1, 2025.
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on August 1, 2025.
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
