About the Project
NLUJA, Assam has been designated to undertake the monitoring exercise for the North-Eastern Region covering States and Union Territories within this jurisdiction.
The project aims at monitoring State-run care institutions housing persons with cognitive disabilities, in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

A. Research Associate (03 Posts)
Essential Qualification:
- LL.M. / Master’s Degree in Law, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Disability Studies or allied disciplines
- Minimum 55% marks

- Experience in surveys, institutional studies, disability rights framework
C. Data Entry Operator (01 Post)
- Graduate in any discipline
- Proficiency in MS Office & data management tools
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
D. Junior Administrative Assistant (01 Post)
- Graduate in any discipline
- Experience in office administration & file management
- Working knowledge of computers and office software
Nature of Engagement
- Purely contractual
- Co-terminus with Project Ability Empowerment
- No right to regular appointment
Salary / Emoluments
Remuneration will be paid from the project grant under “Project Ability Empowerment” and fixed as per the recommendations of the Advisory Committee constituted under Supreme Court directions.
Period of Appointment
- Initially for the duration of the project
- Extendable based on project requirement
