Prerona Asoni Scheme Assam 2025 – ₹300 Monthly Stipend for HSLC & 10th Board Students

The Government of Assam has announced a new educational scheme named Prerona Asoni for the academic year 2025–2026. This scheme aims to provide financial and academic support to students preparing for their HSLC Examination under ASSEB (Div-I) and 10th Board Examination under CBSE of Adarsha Vidyalaya.

Under the scheme, every eligible student will receive a monthly stipend of ₹300 for six months, i.e., a total of ₹1800, to help them prepare better for their board examinations.

Objectives of the Prerona Asoni Scheme

The scheme has been introduced with the following key objectives:

To provide financial assistance for study materials, books, and nutritious food.
To reduce dropout rates among poor and rural students of Assam.
To boost confidence, mental health, and morale of students before examinations.
To increase the overall pass percentage in Class 10 Board Examinations.
To encourage more students to enroll in Government, Provincialised, and Adarsha Vidyalaya schools.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must fulfill the following conditions to avail the benefits:

Payment mode: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student’s bank account.

Application Process

Students who wish to apply must follow these steps:

Fill out the application form with correct details and bank account information.
Submit the form to the Headmaster/Principal of the school.

Schools will appoint 1–2 Nodal Teachers to implement the scheme smoothly.
Guardians can decide whether their ward will apply for the scheme or not.
