Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Vacancy in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations including their Attached offices, Subordinate offices and Statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various States and Union Territories. Only those candidates who have skills in stenography are eligible to apply.

Post Name: Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’
No of Posts: 261
Job Location: Various Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Government of India.
Salary:
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 35400-112400)
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: Level 4 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 25500-81100)
Other Eligibility Criteria of SSC Stenographer Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Skill Requirement:

- Candidates must have skills in stenography.
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Dictation: 10 minutes at the speed of 100 words per minute. Transcription: 40 minutes (English), 55 minutes (Hindi).
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: Dictation: 10 minutes at the speed of 80 words per minute. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi).
Age Limit:
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on August 1, 2024.
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on August 1, 2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
