Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the post of Field Assistant (Statistics)/Enumerator must fulfil the following educational requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university in any subject with at least one paper in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology or Psychology at the graduate level;
OR
A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard.
- Candidates must have studied English and any one local language—Assamese, Bengali or Bodo—as subjects during HSLC.
- Candidates must have knowledge of computers and be comfortable with data entry through a handheld device. They must qualify and upload a Computer Course Certificate of at least 6 months’ duration from a Government-recognised institute.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as on 01 January 2026.
The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:

Salary
Selected candidates will receive:
Pay Band-2: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹5,600

- Candidates must possess a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate in Assam.
- Candidates seeking reservation under SC/ST/OBC/MOBC must submit the required caste certificate issued by the Government of Assam.
- PwBD candidates must have 40% or more benchmark disability and produce the required certificate.
- Candidates already working in regular Government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) when asked.
- Candidates must submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A when required.
- Ex-Servicemen applying against reserved posts must upload the required Ex-Servicemen Identity Card and Discharge Book.
