LIC Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 841 AAO & AE Posts

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released a major recruitment notification for 841 vacancies of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO – Generalist & Specialist) and Assistant Engineers (AE – Civil & Electrical) under its 32nd batch.

The online application process starts on 16 August 2025 and will continue until 8 September 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at the official website licindia.in.

Eligibility Criteria

• AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
• AE (Civil/Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. with 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• AAO (CA): Bachelor’s Degree + CA Final Exam passed.
• AAO (CS): Bachelor’s Degree + ICSI qualification.
• AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s Degree + Passed at least 6 Actuarial papers.
• AAO (Insurance Specialist): Bachelor’s Degree + Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India with 5 years of experience.
• AAO (Legal): Law Degree with minimum 50% marks and 2 years of legal practice.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age:
  • 30 years for AAO (Generalist, AE, CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialist)
  • 32 years for AAO (CA & Legal)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwBD – 10 to 15 years (as per category)
• Ex-Servicemen – up to 10 years
• Confirmed LIC employees – 5 years

Salary / Pay Scale

• Basic Pay: ₹88,635 per month (in the scale ₹88,635 – 1,69,025)
• Total Emoluments: Around ₹1,26,000 per month (in A-Class city)

• SC/ST/PwBD: ₹85 + charges
• Others: ₹700 + charges

Selection Process

The selection will be done in three phases:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Interview
   (Followed by Document & Medical Verification)

Prelims Exam Pattern – AAO (Generalist)

• Reasoning Ability – 35 Questions
• Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Questions
• English Language (Qualifying) – 30 Questions

Prelims Exam Pattern – Specialists / AE / Legal

• Reasoning Ability – 35 Questions
• Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Questions
• English Language – 30 Questions
  (¼ Negative Marking applies)

👉 Note: Marks obtained in the Prelims are qualifying only and will not count in the final merit list.

Guarantee Bond

Selected candidates must serve LIC for at least 4 years, failing which they will be liable to pay ₹5,00,000 as liquidated damages.
