About the Recruitment
Sainik School Goalpara is a residential public school run by the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and is affiliated to CBSE, Delhi. The Principal has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for academic and administrative posts on regular and contractual basis.
Contractual posts are initially for 11 months and can be extended up to three years on the basis of performance and institutional requirement, with a one month break after every 11 months. The posts of Office Superintendent, System Administrator and Horse Riding Instructor are for 11 months only.

Educational Qualification
- Quarter Master: B.A./B.Com. with at least 5 years experience as UDC stores or Quarter Master, or an Ex-Serviceman (preferably JCO) with at least 10 years experience in handling and accounting of stores. Quarter Master’s Course and basic computer knowledge are desirable.
- PGT (Physics): Integrated Post Graduate course from an NCTE recognized university with at least 50% marks including B.Ed component, OR Master’s degree in the subject with at least 50% marks (graduation level must include the subject), along with B.Ed. (at least 50%) or equivalent as per notification.
- TGT (Mathematics): Bachelor’s/Honours degree with at least 50% marks in the subject and aggregate plus B.Ed. (or four year integrated degree including B.Ed.), and a pass in CTET/STET. Mathematics must have been studied for at least 3 years/6 semesters along with Physics and one more subject as specified. B.Sc (Hons) in Physics or Chemistry is not eligible.
- TGT (Social Science): Bachelor’s/Honours degree with at least 50% marks, with two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science (one must be History or Geography for at least 3 years), plus B.Ed. and CTET/STET.
- Band Master: Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major Course at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi, or equivalent Naval/Air Force courses.
- PTI cum Matron (Female): Recognized Diploma in Physical Education and the ability to speak and understand Assamese, Hindi and English.
- Mess Manager: Matriculation, Diploma/Degree in catering, at least 5 years experience of independently running a catering organization, ability to maintain Mess accounts and computer knowledge.
- LDC: Matriculation from a recognized board, typing speed of at least 40 words per minute and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
- Ward Boy: Matriculation or equivalent and the ability to converse fluently in English.
- Office Superintendent: Graduate with 5 years supervisory office experience in a Govt or commercial establishment, or 7 years experience as UDC or equivalent, and the ability to correspond independently in English (graduation condition waived for ex-servicemen JCOs in clerical cadre and ex-Defence Service Officers).
- System Administrator (IT Hardware & Networking): B.Sc (Computer Science/IT/Information Systems), BCA, B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE), or a three year Diploma in a related field with relevant experience, or Class XII with a one year Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking from ITI/Govt recognized institution.
- Horse Riding Instructor: Intermediate or equivalent, and knowledge of horse riding/Risaldar Course qualified.

Selection Process
- Written Test: One hour, covering General Knowledge, General English, Basic Mathematics and a Subject Test of appropriate level. Only shortlisted candidates meeting all eligibility criteria will be called.
- Class Demonstration / Skill Test: For candidates who qualify the written test (as applicable to the post).
- Personal Interview: Date will be intimated through e-mail.
Additional marks will be awarded for higher qualification and experience for PGT, TGT, Band Master, PTI cum Matron and Horse Riding Instructor posts. TA/DA is not admissible for the interview, and candidates should be ready to stay an extra day at their own arrangement.
