1. Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – Chemical
3 years B.Sc with Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
2. Trade Apprentice (Boiler) – Mechanical
3 years B.Sc with Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
3. Technician Apprentice – Chemical
3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering.
4. Technician Apprentice – Mechanical
3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
5. Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation
3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
Age Limit (As on 31.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years (for General/EWS candidates)
Age Relaxation

- OBC (NCL)/MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD-OBC (NCL): 13 years

Stipend
The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules, 1992 (as amended) and as per IOCL Corporation guidelines.
