CTET September 2026 – Correction Window Available till 10 September 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), September 2026 on its official website — https://ctet.nic.in.

Interested and eligible candidates may read the details and apply online once the link is activated.

The facility for online correction in particulars, as applicable, will be available on the official CTET website https://ctet.nic.in from 07.09.2026 to 10.09.2026.

Candidates who had successfully submitted their applications during the earlier application window from 11.05.2026 to 10.06.2026 may also make corrections in their particulars, as applicable, during the above correction window.

CTET 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria for CTET September 2026

The minimum educational qualifications are as notified by NCTE. Candidates should visit https://ncte.gov.in for complete eligibility details.

For Classes I – V (Primary Stage)

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed. (final year appearing also eligible)
  OR
• Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed. (as per NCTE 2002 norms)
  OR
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
  OR
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education
  OR
• Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed. (must complete NCTE-recognized 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within 2 years of appointment)

For Classes VI – VIII (Elementary Stage)

• Graduation with 2-year D.El.Ed. (final year appearing eligible)
  OR
• Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.
  OR
• Graduation with 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms)
  OR
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
  OR
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
  OR
• Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
  OR
• Candidates pursuing any NCTE-recognized teacher education course are also eligible to appear in CTET.

How to Apply for CTET 2026 September Exam

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official CTET portal once the application window opens.

Steps to Apply:

1. Scroll down and go to the Important Web-Links section below.
2. Click on the “Online Application Form” link.
3. Register and fill in your personal and educational details.
4. Upload scanned copies of your photo, signature, and required documents.
5. Pay the application fee as per your category.
6. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
