The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has invited online application for the recruitment of 3717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II / Executive (ACIO-II/Exe) vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Computer knowledge is mandatory.

Age Limit (As on 11th August 2025):

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 27 years

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
Central Government Employees: Up to 40 years (conditions apply)

Application Fee

UR, OBC, EWS (Male)	₹600 (₹100 Exam Fee + ₹500 Processing)
All Others (including Female/SC/ST)	₹500 (Processing only)

Mode of Payment: Online via Net Banking, UPI, Debit/Credit Card or through SBI Challan.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in the following phases:

Tier-I: Objective Written Exam (100 Marks | Duration: 1 Hour)

General Awareness: 20 Questions
Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions
Logical/Analytical Ability: 20 Questions
English Language: 20 Questions
General Studies: 20 Questions

Tier-II: Descriptive Paper (50 Marks | Duration: 1 Hour)

Essay Writing: 30 Marks
English Comprehension & Précis Writing: 20 Marks

Interview:

Candidates who qualify Tier-I and Tier-II will be called for a 100-mark Interview.

Final Selection is subject to medical examination and background verification.

IB ACIO Salary Structure

Pay Level: 7 (as per 7th CPC)
Salary Range: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances.
Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
