Infrastructure Planning & Management (IPM)

2 UR
1 EWS

Required Qualification for IPM:

ITI Certificate Course in Electrician Trade with 3 years’ experience in operation of electrical substations and DG sets.
ITI certificate after completion of 10th standard will be considered.

Educational Qualification (As per Recruitment Rules)

Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field
OR
3-year Diploma in Engineering in appropriate field
OR
ITI with 3 years’ experience
Knowledge of computer applications is required.

Note: The concerned Department/Centre/School may decide on one or more of the above qualifications as per job requirements.

Age Limit

Maximum age: 27 years as on 09.03.2026.
No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati.
Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.
SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR posts will not get age relaxation.

Application Fee

₹500/- for General/OBC candidates
SC/ST, Women & PwBD candidates are exempted from payment.

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.

Application once submitted cannot be modified.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on Written Test / Skill Test conducted by IIT Guwahati.
Details of test pattern and syllabus will be uploaded on the Institute website.
No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the test.

Important Instructions

Candidates must upload latest caste/EWS certificates as per Govt. norms.
OBC(NCL)/EWS certificates should not be more than one year old from the closing date.
Government/PSU employees must upload NOC or submit an undertaking.
Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents during verification.

Any dispute will be subject to jurisdiction of courts in Guwahati.
