Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before 30 June 2026.
Eligible qualifications include:
- Class XII Pass
- ITI (Fitter)
- Diploma in Engineering (Relevant Discipline)
- B.Sc.
- BA
- B.Com
Important points:
- Qualification must be obtained through regular full-time mode.
- Minimum 50% marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
- Minimum 45% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.
- Candidates possessing BE/B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, LLB or equivalent higher qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates who completed the qualifying examination more than five years before 30 June 2026 are not eligible.

Selection Process
There will be no written examination.
Selection will be based on:
- Merit prepared from marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

In case of a tie in marks:

Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and IOCL guidelines.

How to Apply for IOCL Digboi Apprentice 2026?
Eligible candidates should complete both of the following steps:
Step 1: Register on NAPS/NATS
- Trade Apprentice posts (Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110 & 111) – Register through the NAPS Portal.
- Technician Apprentice posts (Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107) – Register through the NATS Portal.
Apply for the respective apprenticeship opportunity under AOD Digboi Refinery.
Step 2: Submit Microsoft Form
After applying through NAPS/NATS, candidates must fill in the additional Microsoft Form available on the IOCL website.
Both steps are mandatory. Applications without completing both stages will not be considered.
