Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released an official notification for engagement of 42 Apprentices at its Guwahati Refinery, Assam under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended). Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through NAPS/NATS portals as per details given below.

Reservation for UR / EWS / SC / ST / OBC(NCL) / PwBD categories will be applicable as per Government norms.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification on or before 31.01.2026
Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates)
Qualification must be regular full-time from a recognized Board/University
Part-time / distance education qualifications are not eligible
Candidates with higher qualifications (B.E/B.Tech/MBA/CA etc.) are not eligible

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 31.01.2026)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Application Fee

Selection Process

No Written Test
Selection will be based on percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification
Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship for the first time
In case of tie, older candidate (by DOB) will be preferred
