Assam Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY) is a health insurance scheme launched by the Government of Assam on 2^nd October, 2023. The scheme provides cashless healthcare to state government employees, retired government employees and their dependents.

Under this scheme, a total medical coverage of Rs 5 lakh is provided to the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries have the right to receive treatment in more than 25,000 hospitals across the country. These include government, private and military hospitals.

Assam Chief Minister Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana

Chief Minister Lok Seva Arogya Yojana launched by the Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Hemant Biswa Sharma aims to provide health coverage to serving and retired state government employees as well as their dependents in Assam. Beneficiaries under this program will be entitled to medical coverage up to Rs 5 lakh. It is important to note that if someone is already benefiting from a similar scheme, they are not eligible for this.

Objective of Assam MMLSAY

The primary objective of Assam MMLSAY Scheme is to provide a financial health safety net of Rs. 5 lakh per year per family. The scheme aims to streamline the medical reimbursement process for government employees, pensioners and their dependents. Assam Chief Minister Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana was established by the State Government of Assam to provide cashless health insurance coverage to government employees and retirees in the state of Assam.

Main features of Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana:

• This is a free health insurance scheme available to all government employees and their family members in the state of Assam.
• Under the scheme, government employees and their families get free or subsidized treatment on hospitalization, out-patient treatment, medical examinations and other medical services.
• The scheme is applicable in all government hospitals and recognized private hospitals of the state.
• Under the scheme, government employees and their families get health insurance cover of up to ₹1 lakh per year.
• The plan covers all types of medical treatment, including surgery, medicines, hospitalization, and other medical services.
• The scheme also includes maternity and child health services.
• The plan also includes mental health services.
• The plan also covers dental treatment and eye treatment.

Eligibility for MMLSAY Assam

Following are the eligibility criteria for Assam Chief Minister Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY):

• The applicant must be a government employee.
• The applicant must be a resident of Assam state.
• The applicant must have a valid Aadhar Card.
• Applicant must have a valid photo identity card.
• The applicant must have a valid PAN card.

How to Apply for Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana Assam

To apply for MMLSAY, government employees and their family members have to apply online on the website of the health department of the state government. After applying, government employees and their family members will have to undergo a medical checkup to be eligible for their medical claims.

• Then Select employment type: Employee or Pensioner.
• Select an option to validate account: PAN/PRAN/GPF Number.
• Enter your mobile number and Proceed.
• Now Enter OTP.
• Complete the application form with required details like name, email, address and bank information.
• Upload the required documents.
• Click on “Submit” button to finish the application process.
