Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), Maligaon has released an official notification for the recruitment of 56 Sports Person Posts under the Sports Quota. The selected candidates will be posted in different Divisions (Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding & Tinsukia) or the Headquarter of N.F. Railway, depending on sports requirements and vacancy availability.

N F Railway Recruitment 2025 – Vacancy Details

1. Pay Level: 5 or 4 (Grade Pay Rs. 2800/2400)

• No of posts: 05
• Age Limit: 18 – 25 years (as on 01-01-2026)
• Qualification: Graduate or equivalent from a recognized university/institution.
• Sports Norms: At least 3rd position in any of the Category-B championships/events.

2. Pay Level: 3 or 2 (Grade Pay Rs. 2000/1900)

• No of posts: 16
• Age Limit: 18 – 25 years (as on 01-01-2026)
• Qualification: Class 12th (+2 stage) passed or its equivalent examination from a Govt. recognized Board/Institution.
• Sports Norms:
  • Represented the country in any of the Category-B championships/events, OR
  • At least 3rd position in any of the Category-C championships/events, OR
  • At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships, OR
  • At least 3rd position in National Games under Indian Olympic Association, OR
  • At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championships, OR
  • 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

3. Pay Level: 1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800)

• No of posts: 35
• Age Limit: 18 – 25 years (as on 01-01-2026)
• Qualification: Class 10th (matriculation) or ITI or equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
• Sports Norms:
  • Represented the country in any of the Category-C championships/events, OR
  • At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category), OR
  • Represented a state or equivalent unit (except marathon & cross-country) with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships only.

• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minority/Economically Backward Classes: ₹250/-
