Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  As per latest UGC norms and Govt. Office Memorandum No. DHE/CE/Misc./49/2021/113 (dated 29/01/2022) and AHE.239/2021/68 (dated 24/01/2022).
  • NET/SLET/SET is mandatory.
  • Candidates with Ph.D. (as per UGC regulations, 2009) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Minimum 55% marks at Master’s degree level in the concerned subject.
  • Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  • Relaxation of 5% for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s before 19th September 1991.
• Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025):
  • Maximum: 38 years
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PWD, 3 years for OBC/MOBC.
• Other Conditions:
  • Must have Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC).
  • Must know the local language.
  • In-service candidates must apply through proper channel with recent NOC.

Selection Process

• Interview will be held on 06/09/2025 at 11:00 AM at Saraighat College.
• Candidates must bring:
  • Full bio-data
  • Original certificates & mark sheets
  • Photocopies of certificates & mark sheets
• Eligibility such as M.Phil./Ph.D./Seminar Papers/Publications can be submitted on the date of interview (not beyond).
• Reservation policy of the state will be followed strictly.

The selected candidate must submit a written undertaking stating that under no circumstances he/she will claim for regularization of service in the future.
