Assam TET 2026: The Government of Assam, Department of School Education has officially released the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 notification for Lower Primary (Classes I–V) and Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels.

This Special TET is conducted to address the shortage of Language-I teachers in Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium elementary schools across Assam.

The examination is conducted as per NCTE guidelines under Section 23 of the RTE Act, 2009, and is mandatory for candidates aspiring to become teachers at the elementary level in Assam.
