1. Senior Scientist and Head

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Doctoral Degree in the relevant field of Agriculture, Animal Science, Fisheries, Community Science, Horticulture or Sericulture.
Candidates must also have 8 years of experience, excluding the period spent in obtaining the Ph.D. degree, in the relevant subject as a Scientist, Lecturer, Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of ₹15,600–₹39,100 with Grade Pay of ₹5,400/₹6,000/₹7,000/₹8,000 as per the 6th CPC report.
The candidate should have contributions to research, teaching or extension education, as evidenced by published work, innovations and impact.
Desirable: Specialization in implementing extension education programmes.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with working knowledge of computers. Candidates must have a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application.
Professional Efficiency Test
Candidates will be required to appear in a dictation test in English at a speed of 80 words per minute for 10 minutes.
The dictated matter must be transcribed on a computer within 50 minutes.
8. Driver (T1)

Assistant, Stenographer Grade-III, Driver and Supporting Staff Grade-I
Maximum age: 40 years as on 1 January 2026.
There is no upper age limit for in-service candidates of Assam Agricultural University.
Age relaxation for reserved category candidates will be applicable as per the rules of the Government of Assam.
Domicile Requirement
Candidates who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply for all categories of posts except the post of Senior Scientist and Head.
