Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2026: The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has released an official notification for the recruitment of 1715 Constable posts, including 1052 Constable (UB) and 663 Constable (AB) vacancies under Assam Police.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Police Constable Recruitment

Nationality

• Must be an Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates need not submit a residence certificate.

Language Proficiency

• Must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.

Employment Exchange Registration

• Mandatory for all candidates.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• 18 to 25 years
• Born between 01-01-2001 and 01-01-2008 (both dates inclusive)

Medical Standards

• Must be in good mental and physical health.
• No physical deformities such as knock-knee, flat foot, heart disease, diabetes, piles, respiratory issues, etc.
• Eyesight:
  • 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in the other (uncorrected).
  • Normal near vision.
• Varicose vein is temporary disqualification.
