During Bohag Bihu, an age-old Assamese tradition involves consuming a dish made from 101 varieties of leafy greens and herbs, known as “Akho-ek Bidh Xaak”. This practice is believed to have medicinal benefits, helping to cleanse the body and boost immunity during the seasonal transition. However, due to urbanization and changes in agricultural practices, sourcing all 101 varieties has become challenging, and many people now include as many as they can find.​
