About CPRI Recruitment 2026
Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Power. It is engaged in research and development related to electricity generation, transmission, distribution and operation systems. CPRI also works in product development, quality assurance, testing and certification of power equipment. Its units are located at Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Noida, Kolkata, Guwahati and Raipur, besides its Head Office at Bangalore.

Educational Qualification
Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Electrical):
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Candidates must have a valid GATE Score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 in Electrical Engineering.
Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Civil):
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Civil Engineering. A valid GATE Score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 in Civil Engineering is required.
Scientific Assistant:
First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University with 5 years of experience in the relevant subject field.
Engineering Assistant (Electrical):
First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical with 5 years of relevant experience.
Engineering Assistant (Mechanical):
First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical with 5 years of relevant experience.
Technician Grade 1 (Electrical):
ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
Technician Grade 1 (Mechanical):
ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical.
Technical Attendant Grade 1:
Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board. Two-year ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical is desirable.
Assistant Grade II:
First Class BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA degree from a recognized university along with a minimum Grade-B certificate in the Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by NIELIT. No other computer course will be accepted for this post.
Multi-Tasking Staff Grade 1:
Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board. All posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen.
