Discipline-Wise Eligibility
1. Electronics – BE001
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
A valid GATE score in Electronics & Communication Engineering – Paper Code EC is required.
2. Mechanical – BE002
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
A valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering – Paper Code ME is required.
3. Computer Science – BE003
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
A valid GATE score in Computer Science & Information Technology – Paper Code CS is required.
4. Civil – BE004
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
A valid GATE score in Civil Engineering – Paper Code CE is required.
5. Electrical – BE005
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

6. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning – BE006
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or allied subjects as electives or as a core subject in any semester.

A valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering – Paper Code ME is required.
7. Architecture – BE007
Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Architecture with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale along with a valid Registration Certificate with the Council of Architecture.
A valid GATE score in Architecture & Planning – Paper Code AR is required.
8. Civil – Autonomous Body [PRL] – BE004A
Candidates must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
A valid GATE score in Civil Engineering – Paper Code CE is required.
GATE Qualification
An important requirement for this ISRO Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ vacancy is a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score.
Candidates will be screened for the interview based on their GATE Score, not GATE marks or GATE rank.
The GATE paper and qualifying degree discipline must correspond to the discipline specified for the respective post.

ISRO Scientist Engineer SC Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.
The minimum basic pay is:
