ARIAS Society Recruitment 2026: The ARIAS Society, under the Government of Assam, has invited applications from eligible candidates for various contractual positions under the proposed Assam Sustainable Wetland and Integrated Fisheries Transformation (SWIFT) Project.
Eligible candidates will be selected through Walk-In-Interview. The interviews will be conducted at the office of the State Project Director, ARIAS Society, Agriculture Campus, Sixmile, Guwahati-781022, as per the schedule given below.

ARIAS Society Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive a consolidated fixed monthly remuneration within the following ranges:

Educational Qualification and Experience
1. Accountant – CPIU
Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce from a Government-recognized university with in-depth knowledge of accounting and financial management procedures applicable to ADB, World Bank or externally funded projects, along with hands-on experience in operating Tally accounting software.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in project or programme financial accounting for ADB, World Bank or externally financed projects.
2. Jr. MIS Specialist – PMU
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or a related field from a Government-recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in MIS development, data management and reporting. Experience in web-based MIS platforms, databases, dashboards and data analytics tools will be desirable.
Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, React JS, Node JS, web technologies, development tools and GIS applications will be an added advantage.
3. Assistant Engineer – PIU
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university. Candidates with a Postgraduate Degree in Civil Engineering will be preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering, including engineering design and field execution of civil works.
4. Rural Finance Specialist – PIU
Qualification: Graduate Degree, preferably Postgraduate Degree, in Rural Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including 5 years in planning and implementing microfinance, agribusiness or rural development projects.
5. Livelihood Coordinator – CPIU
Qualification: Master’s or Postgraduate Degree in Livelihoods, Entrepreneurship Development, Food Security, Agriculture and allied subjects, Agribusiness, Value Chain Development, Rural Development, Social Sciences or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in livelihood interventions, including skills training, micro-lending, micro-savings, employment generation, income generation and social protection programmes.
6. Hydrology Specialist – PIU
Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in hydrological studies and water resources assessment. Experience in wetland ecosystems or watershed management will be preferred.
Knowledge of hydrological modelling tools such as SWAT and HEC-HMS will be an advantage.
7. GIS & MIS Executive – CPIU
Qualification: Master’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in GIS and MIS systems.
Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server and MIS platforms will be desirable.
8. Financial Management Specialist – PIU
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Commerce, MBA Finance or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting and auditing. Experience in externally funded projects financed by ADB or the World Bank will be preferred.
9. Financial Management Executive – PIU
Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce from a recognized university with knowledge of financial management procedures applicable to ADB, World Bank and externally funded projects.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in financial management activities in World Bank, externally aided or similar government-funded projects, including at least 1 year in government projects.
Experience in operating Tally accounting software and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint are required.
10. Junior Engineer (Civil) – CPIU
Qualification: At least a 3-year regular Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and Planning or Construction Technology from an AICTE-recognized technical institute.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and Planning or Construction Technology may also be considered.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, execution or maintenance of civil engineering works.
ARIAS Society Walk-In Interview Schedule
Candidates must report for registration between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM. No candidate will be allowed to register after 10:00 AM under any circumstances. The test or interview will commence from 11:00 AM onwards.

Guwahati – 781022, Assam.
Selection Process
Depending on the number of candidates and project requirements, the selection process may include:
- MCQ-based Written Test
- Practical Test
- Presentation on a given topic
- Personal Interview
The final selection will be made in order of merit based on the total marks obtained in the written test or presentation and personal interview, as applicable.
Contract Period
The selected candidates will be engaged purely on a contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months. The contract may be renewed based on project requirements and satisfactory performance.
The contractual engagement will not confer any right to regular appointment or absorption under the ARIAS Society or the Government of Assam or India.

Candidates must bring the following documents:
- Duly filled and signed prescribed Application/CV Form.
- Original certificates and testimonials related to educational qualification.
- Experience certificates.
- Age proof.
- Identity proof.
- Latest salary certificate.
- Two recent passport-size coloured photographs.
- One set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
- Own laptop for the test and interview.
Experience claimed without supporting documentary evidence will not be considered. The original documents will be returned after verification against the self-attested copies.
