About ASDMA Recruitment 2026

ASDMA is recruiting 1 Junior Administrative Assistant to be posted at its Headquarters in Guwahati. The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis initially for three years, subject to annual renewal.

Candidates shortlisted based on eligibility criteria will have to appear for a Written Test and/or Computer Skill Test. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test.

Essential Qualifications

Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
Proficiency in Computer Applications is essential, especially:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- PowerPoint
- Internet usage
- Tally

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 43 years

Remuneration & Pay Scale

Pay Band (PB-2): ₹14,000 – ₹49,000
Grade Pay (GP): ₹8,700
Applicable Rules: Assam Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017 (ROP 2017)

In case of official travel outside the duty station, entitlements will be governed as per ASDMA Administrative and Financial Rules.

Duration of Contract

Initially for 3 years, subject to annual renewal.
Appointment is purely contractual.
No claim for regular appointment or further benefits.
Services will automatically terminate upon completion of the contract period.
Either party may terminate the contract with 15 working days’ written notice.
Courts and tribunals in Guwahati shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Duties & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, ASDMA and perform the following duties:

Custodian of ASDMA files
All typing work
Receipt and dispatch of Dak and file movement
Assisting Finance Officer & Accountant in accounts and payment-related works
Coordination of financial matters
Any other duties assigned from time to time

Leave Entitlement

12 days Casual Leave
Other leave as per Assam Leave Rules

Income Tax

Income Tax will be deducted as per Government rules.

Selection Process

Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria
Written Test and/or Computer Skill Test
Final selection based on merit

The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.
