About Gauhati University PGET 2026
The Gauhati University Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) is conducted for admission to various Traditional and Interdisciplinary Postgraduate programmes offered by Gauhati University and its affiliated colleges. Admission to all PG programmes will be based solely on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
Candidates may apply for a maximum of three subjects, including one subject from Traditional Programmes and two subjects from Interdisciplinary Programmes.

Admission to all postgraduate programmes will be based on:
- Performance in PGET 2026.
- Merit ranking prepared on the basis of entrance test marks.
- Verification of original documents.
- Reservation policy of Gauhati University and Government of Assam.

Reservation will be provided as per Government of Assam and Gauhati University rules:

- OBC/MOBC: 27%
