About the Scholarship Schemes
The Government of India is implementing the following scholarship schemes for students with disabilities through the National Scholarship Portal:
1. Pre-Matric Scholarship
- For students studying in Class IX and Class X.
2. Post-Matric Scholarship
- For students studying from Class XI up to Post-Graduation.
3. Top Class Scholarship
- For Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma students studying in notified institutions of excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
Disability Requirement
Applicants must:
- Be students with benchmark disability (40% or more disability).
- Possess a valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority or a UDID Card showing 40% or more disability.
Annual Family Income Limit
For Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarship
- Annual parental/guardian income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
- Income certificate must be obtained from the Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle.
For Top Class Scholarship
- Annual parental/guardian income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
- Income certificate must be obtained from the Circle Officer of the respective Revenue Circle.
Aadhaar & Bank Account Requirements
- Applicants or their parents must link their bank account with Aadhaar.
- Scholarship amount will be directly credited to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the beneficiary.
- Aadhaar is mandatory for all applicants.
- For minor applicants who do not possess Aadhaar, the Aadhaar number of parents or legal guardians is mandatory.
One Time Registration (OTR)
All fresh and renewal applicants must:



- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) before applying.
- Complete authentication through the NSPOTR Mobile Application available on the Google Play Store.
- Students who applied in previous years and already received an OTR reference through their registered mobile number can continue using the same OTR number.
