A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade may be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled candidates with 40% or more disability/EWS, as per applicable UGC guidelines.

Application Fee

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,500/-.

For candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories, the application fee is Rs. 750/-.

The fee has to be deposited through SBI Collect in the university account.

How to Apply for Bhattadev University Ph.D Admission 2026

Eligible candidates can apply for the Ph.D. programme by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website of Bhattadev University.
2. Download the Ph.D. admission application form.
3. Fill in the application form carefully.
4. Pay the prescribed application fee through SBI Collect.
5. The Google Form will be available on the university website from 10 August 2026.
6. Complete and submit the Google Form within the deadline.
7. Keep the payment receipt and application form safely for future reference.
8. Submit the filled-in application form to the Office of the Academic Registrar on the day of the Entrance Test, along with the payment receipt.

The last date for payment of the application fee and submission of the Google Form is 20 August 2026.

Ph.D Entrance Test 2026

Eligible candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. programme are required to qualify in the Bhattadev University Ph.D. Entrance Test (BU-PET).

The entrance examination will be conducted in offline mode.

The question paper will consist of:

• General – 50%
• Subject-specific – 50%

Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks in the entrance test to become eligible for the next stage of the admission process.

Exemption from Entrance Test

Candidates who have qualified NET/SLET or other equivalent national-level tests are exempted from appearing in the written entrance test, as per the applicable UGC guidelines and the university admission notification.

However, such candidates will still be required to appear in the Personal Interview.

Admission Procedure

The Ph.D. admission process will be conducted in two stages:

Stage 1 – BU-PET 2026

Eligible candidates must qualify in the Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by Bhattadev University, unless they are exempted under the applicable UGC provisions.

Stage 2 – Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted after the entrance test will have to appear in a personal interview. The interview will be used to determine the suitability of candidates for Ph.D. admission.

Documents Required

Candidates shortlisted for the personal interview will have to produce the following documents:

• Print copy of the application form generated after submission
• Original pass certificates and mark sheets from HSLC up to Master’s Degree
• Original caste certificate, wherever applicable
• Self-attested copy of UGC-NET/SLET or other applicable score card
• Self-attested copy of BU-PET 2026 score card downloaded from the university website
• No Objection Certificate (NOC), if the candidate is employed

Reservation

The State Reservation Policy will be followed during the admission process.

Hostel Accommodation

Bhattadev University has stated that hostel accommodation cannot be provided to any Research Scholar under this admission process.
