Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications:
- MA/M.Sc/M.Com degree from a recognized university recognized by UGC.
- B.T./B.Ed degree from an NCTE-recognized Teacher Training Institution.
- Candidates must have a uniformly good academic career.
Special Provision for Hindi Teachers
Candidates having Master Degree qualification along with Hindi Sikshan Parangat and Hindi Sikshan Nishant shall be considered equivalent to B.T./B.Ed.
Experience Required
Candidates must satisfy any of the following service experience criteria:
- Minimum 15 years of service as Post Graduate Teacher in Provincialised Higher Secondary Schools/H.S. & M.P. Schools/Senior Secondary Schools.
OR
- Minimum 5 years of service as Vice-Principal in Provincialised Higher Secondary Schools/H.S. & M.P. Schools.
OR
- Minimum 17 years of teaching experience as Graduate Teacher in Provincialised High School/Higher Secondary School/H.S. & M.P. School or combination of such schools.
Age Limit
- Maximum age should not exceed 57 years as on 01 January 2026.

Important Notes
As per Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) Service Rules, 2018 and amended rules:
- Graduate Teachers include Assistant Teachers, Classical Teachers of Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools, High Madrassa, and Demonstrators of provincialised Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools.
- Graduate Teachers/Demonstrators with minimum 17 years of teaching experience in Graduate Scale of Pay are eligible to apply.
- Additional Contractual Teachers regularized through Special Recruitment Drive 2025 are also eligible as per service rules.
