Contract Period
The initial contract period for teaching faculty will be three years.
The contract may be extended for up to another two years on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance.
The maximum tenure will be five years, or until the candidate reaches 70 years of age, or until regular faculty joins, whichever occurs earlier.
Important Terms and Conditions
The positions are purely contractual, and selected candidates will have no claim for regularisation of their service in the hospital.
Private practice of any kind will not be permitted for candidates engaged on a full-time contractual basis.
ESIC may increase, decrease or cancel the filling of any or all posts depending on the decision of the Appointing Authority.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
Candidates already working in another organisation must produce an NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
The contractual engagement may be terminated by either side by giving one month’s prior notice.

Security Deposit
Selected candidates will have to furnish a Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque of ₹30,000 in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1”, payable at Guwahati, as a security deposit.
If a selected candidate resigns or terminates the contract within nine months of commencement of the contract, the ₹30,000 security deposit will be forfeited.
