Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements prescribed by IBPS before submitting the online application.
Nationality
Candidates must satisfy the nationality/citizenship conditions prescribed in the official IBPS notification.
Candidates belonging to specified categories such as subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees and persons of Indian origin migrating from specified countries must fulfil the conditions prescribed by IBPS, including production of the required eligibility certificate wherever applicable.
Age Limit

Selection Process

The Main Examination is separately timed for each test.
Negative Marking
There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests of both the Preliminary and Main examinations.
For every wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
There is no penalty for a question left unanswered.
Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in the specified/opted local language.
The LLPT will be:
- Conducted after qualifying the Main Examination/provisional allotment but before joining the bank.
- Qualifying in nature.
- Based on reading, writing, speaking and understanding of the specified/opted language.
- Applicable to candidates who do not already meet the prescribed language-study condition.
Candidates who fail the LLPT will not be offered appointment and will be disqualified from the process.
Examination Centres
The Online Preliminary and Main examinations will be conducted at various centres across India.
Candidates can select examination centres according to the options available for their State/UT. However, IBPS reserves the right to allot a candidate to a centre other than the selected centre or even outside the State/UT for which the candidate has applied, depending on administrative feasibility and other factors.
No request for change of examination centre will be entertained.
Provisional Allotment
Candidates shortlisted after the Main Examination will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating Public Sector Banks.
The allotment will be based on:

- Category-wise reservation
