KAAC Veterinary Field Assistant Recruitment

The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Central Selection Board has invited applications for 49 vacant posts of Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) under the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department.

The recruitment is open to candidates who were previously selected by the Central Selection Board, KAAC, for the prescribed One Year VFA Training Course and have successfully completed the training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science at the recognized School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Ghungoor, Silchar.

The selection will be made on the basis of merit. Since the eligible candidates have already undergone the prescribed one-year VFA training, no fresh written examination will be conducted.

Method of Assessment

HSSLC (Science) – 20 Marks:
Twenty percent of the percentage of marks obtained in the HSSLC (Science) Examination will be considered.

One Year VFA Training Course – 40 Marks:
Forty percent of the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed One Year VFA Training Course will be considered.

Viva-Voce – 40 Marks:
Eligible candidates will appear before the Central Selection Board/Interview Board for a Viva-Voce carrying 40 marks. The Viva-Voce may assess knowledge of basic Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, practical understanding gained during training, general awareness, suitability for the post and other relevant matters.

The marks obtained from all three components will be added to arrive at the candidate’s total score out of 100 marks.

In case of a tie in total marks, the candidate securing higher marks in the VFA Training Course will be placed higher in the merit list. If the tie still persists, the candidate securing higher marks in Viva-Voce will be placed higher.

  2. Fill in all required details correctly.
  3. Attach the required testimonials and documents.
  4. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the application.
  5. Enclose another recent passport-size photograph as required.
  6. Attach the applicable KAAC Money Receipt for the application fee.
  7. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope of size 23 cm × 11 cm with a Rs. 4/- postal stamp.
  8. Self-attest copies of all certificates, mark sheets and testimonials.
  9. Superscribe the envelope with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VETERINARY FIELD ASSISTANT (VFA)”.
  10. Submit the application by hand at the Drop Box at the office of the Central Selection Board, KAAC, Diphu, during office hours, or send it by Registered Post/Speed Post.
