AMTRON Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
1. Frontend Developer / Sr. Frontend Developer
Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or equivalent, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), or equivalent.
Experience:
- Frontend Developer: Minimum 3 years
- Sr. Frontend Developer: Minimum 5 years
Candidates should have strong proficiency in React JS, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and REST API integration.
2. Backend Developer / Sr. Backend Developer
Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or equivalent, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), or equivalent.
Experience:
- Backend Developer: Minimum 3 years
- Sr. Backend Developer: Minimum 5 years
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI or comparable Python web frameworks, relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL, API security, OAuth2/JWT and microservice architecture.
3. CMS Developer / Sr. CMS Developer (Drupal Headless)
Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or equivalent, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), or equivalent.
Experience:
- CMS Developer: Minimum 3 years
- Sr. CMS Developer: Minimum 5 years
Experience with Drupal as a headless/decoupled CMS, content modelling, REST/JSON API, PHP and Drupal module development is required.
4. Content Manager
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Mass Communication, Journalism, English or IT is preferred.
Working knowledge of CMS platforms is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in content management, digital publishing or communications.
The candidate should have strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. Working knowledge of Assamese is preferred.
5. Database Administrator / Sr. Database Administrator
Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or equivalent, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), or BCA with relevant certification.
Experience:
- Database Administrator: Minimum 3 years
- Sr. Database Administrator: Minimum 5 years
Candidates should have experience with MySQL/MariaDB and/or PostgreSQL database administration, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, query optimisation and data migration.
6. Graphic Designer
Educational Qualification:
Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in web/digital design.
Candidates should be proficient in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or equivalent.
Age Limit
The age of candidates should be:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
The age will be calculated as on 1 January 2026.
Upper age relaxation will be applicable as per prevailing Government of Assam norms:
- SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
Preference will be given to candidates having Assam domicile.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration based on the approved pay bands. The Selection Committee will determine the actual remuneration considering technical proficiency, relevant experience and performance in the selection process.

Selection Process
The selection process will depend on the post applied for.
For the following combined-designation posts, candidates will have to appear for a Technical/Practical Assessment followed by Viva-Voce:

For Content Manager and Graphic Designer, the selection process will consist of:
- Viva-Voce
- Review of portfolio/work samples
Final selection will be based on performance in the applicable assessment and viva-voce, educational qualification and relevant work experience.
For combined-designation posts, the decision regarding whether a candidate is appointed at the Senior or non-Senior level will be made by the Selection Committee based on assessed performance. For Senior designation, a minimum of five years of relevant post-qualification experience is additionally required.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the selection process.
Contract Period
The engagement is purely contractual.
The initial period of engagement will be 11 months. The contract may be extended annually up to a maximum period of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance.
Selected candidates will work under the Assam Unified Portal Project, Department of Information Technology, Government of Assam, under the administrative control of AMTRON.
Performance will be reviewed at the end of each year, and continuation of service will depend on satisfactory performance.
